Could use your expertise here sir. Not sure if you happened to come across another recent thread I posted entitled Heeeeeeeeellllllllllllpppppppp, but I'm having difficulties making my setup physically fit under the fairing. Thought you might weigh in with some ideas...I'm at a loss and quite frustrated. All of my particulars are in the other thread. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
Setup:
2012 Ultra Classic
Stock head unit with IC audio upgrades to include RCA outputs
IC Audio HDPDPLUS module
Stock CB/2-way comms module
SS pn4.520 amp
Scott Ezell's bracket with the two modules mounted below and the Amp secured to the top using Dual Lock
Problem is the two top forward corners of the amp are hitting the fairing preventing me from properly buttoning it up. I've pushed the unit as far back as possible and even trim miming part of the guage mounting brackets. Not sure if I did something wrong mounting Scott's bracket or something else, but I know the amp will not go any further back unless I want to go guage less!
Just a couple of suggestions as I have the same type bracket albeit different amp and modules. Did you check that the tangs on the Ezell bracket are into the slots in the inner fairing? I had some difficulty getting mine lined up and found that one had not made it into a slot. (Needed to get a flashlight to see it.) The other thing is to make sure you aren't hitting a wire harness somewhere with everything in place. It was a tight fit to be sure.
Yeah I double checked and triple checked all that. What's frustrating is that I'm fairly certain that there are a number of members that have the same configuration and were able to get it all back together without a hitch. Thanks
