I think he's talking about the two tabs that keep the latches closed on the hinge. Bend them up to put more force on the assembly when the lid is closed and your bag seals better.
When I get home tonite from work and put my fairing back on, i will have to look at that and see what you guys are talking about.

Got it. I have mine adjusted because I don't have $50 locks yet.
To keep the MONSTERS from Rattlin' !!! For anyone that knows,....those Pioneers RUMBLE.............This takes out the vibration noise. Gives a super snug fit to close the lids.

Ahhh....thank you for that. I have been trying to figure out for the past 2 weeks how to get them to stop rattling. I was getting ready to send the bags off to get the dynomat installed but I will try this first. Didnt get a chance last nite. Rode in today and after making a few more adjustments, I can feel my pioneers thumping thru my seat at 80 mph! These 6x9s are sick!

Ah-hah! Makes sense, thanks for the info
So, do I go with one 6x9 in each lid or two? None in the bags (for now), just lids.
all depends on your end goal and what costs you're willing to associate to that end goal. and by cost I don't mean just $.
4 speakers in each saddlebag is very doable but the cost there is pretty much all storage space will be gone.
If you do this, big power is going to be your friend. Something like the amps I run would be ideal for this type of setup.
225x4 @ 2 ohms.
wire 2 right inward facing as right rear in parallel
wire 2 right lid speakers as right front in parallel
wire 2 left inward facing as left rear in parallel
wire 2 left lid speakers as left front in parallel
that will bring all 4 channels to 2 ohms and I can only imagine what that will sound like.
couple of things to note if you go that route:
1. make sure to line those saddlebags with material
2. make sure to isolate 2 speakers in each from the other 2 speakers using baffles.
If I just run two in each lid only (none in the bags), how would you recommend connecting to the amp? And do I still mount a baffle on one in each lid or both in each lid? Thanks
