+1 Way too common! That exact problem is what makes guys go to aftermarket. Same thing happened to both of my HK's when I had em. Pissed me off to no end. Iron Cross is great at fixing it though.

I dont know what the cost is to fix but I do have a stock hu and Ipod modular kit will sell all for 225.00 shipped . Off a 2006 street glide.

It all works. I guess I just dont feel they are worth as much as HD wants for them . Just trying to help someone out.
