Default HK radio problem

I own a 2006 SG. I have the Harley Harmon Kardon advanced radio system on my bike. The issue I am having is the audio just quits, no sound. I turn the radio off and let it sit for around 60 seconds in the off position. Then I turn it back on and the audio works fine. It is a random problem no time limit when it happens. Sometimes 1 minute sometimes 10 minutes. Anyone else ever had an issue like this?? Any ideas of what it might me?

Sounds like a trip to Iron Cross. They are great people and did a great job on mine. It'll be better when they fix it than it was when it was new.

What do they do to it? Upgrades? How much do they charge and how do I find them?
Thanks

I don't know what all years are affected but the handlebar clamp bolts are another possibility:

The bolts are not hitting. The dam thing will play for hours with the motor not running. I believe it will test good on a bench but not on my bike when the motor is running???

That was my thoughts. I moved and wiggled every single wire and connection. Still the same issue. I was thinking of just putting in a different radio all together. I have had this radio reprogrammed and exchanged out for a refurb from HD.

Almost sounds like a circuit getting too hot and tripping out till it cools off enough to kick in again or a bad connection as was suggsted. Just totally guessing though.

Personally I would send it to ICA. It will come back better than new and not likely fail. Maybe it's fix it now or fix it later--again?
