I just added another set of polks for my lowers last week. I already had polks in fairing and rear pods being fed by a soundstream 4 channel. Added the polks in the lowers and the hogtunes amp bracket with a pbr300x2 so I have 6 channels of power. Nice improvement, fuller sound.
What did you have to do to get polks in rear pods? Do both amps fit in batwing?
lol. . Now that poses another problem. Do you listen to FM radio at all? Can't parallel the infinities with the PBR so now you need a 4 channel 2 ohm stable amp. This is the reason you always hear GP,Nutz and Pioneer saying do it right the first time! Don't know how far you plan to take your upgrade but most guys end up with 8 speakers on an ULTRA ( with the exception of GP who has 10) If you are going the 8 speaker route on down the road you will need to re-think your "Plan" lol
I do listen to fm sometimes. I don't plan on adding speaker lids. So if j understand everything I've read. If I'm going to run 6 speakers I'm probably going to have to run like a ss for the front 4 and a 300 x 2 for rear pods and then lose fm. So maybe I'll stick with just the 4 front on 2 separate 300 x 2.

Yeah when I was only running six speakers I ran the SS520.4 up front and the X2 for the rear speakers but I don't care about FM. Too many radio apps to choose from. not to mention XM radio and Pandora.
Jetblack how long have you been running the Polk speakers?
A year now. Had an issue with one speaker blowing right off the bat a week in but can't say for sure if it was a faulty quality one or my fault. Think it was probably me.... Was enjoying the new system a little too much one morning after work. With just the 4 polks and the soundstream amp I could never run volume past half, didn't need too either...it rocked very nice. Since adding the lowers and retuning gains I can get full volume. Doesn't seem quite as loud but have a more full soundstage. Next on the list is a new head unit just haven't made up my mind which one yet, there are sooo many options and I have a few questions to get sorted out yet to narrow my search.

Nothing they just drop in like they were made for it. You'll have to drill new holes for the screws but no biggie. The crossovers won't fit in there. I industrial velcroed them to the tour pak under the seat back pillow. You'll need the hogtunes amp bracket to mount the PBR amp. You will remove the fairing support and bolt this in it's place, works well
