Default Speaker support bracket

I just installed some bars on my bike this weekend and while I had the fairing apart, I found that I had a couple of broken brackets. One of the main supports was broke and I fixed that one. Now I'm looking for ideas on fixing the speaker bracket. It was broken near the screw hole that mounts to the speaker itself. What have you guys done to fix yours? I will be mounting some BT 7.1's in the near future if that matters.

I've had a top vertical one break but not horizontal speaker ones yet. This guy fabs his brackets out of stainless steel nice pieces.

alloy art strong arm fairing brackets and the stock speaker brackets will keep the vibrations from breaking stuff

vertical bracket going from tree to top of fairing or the horizontal bracket going from vertical bracket to speaker location on outside of fairing?

The horizontal bracket. I found one of mine broken at the outboard end near the screw hole. They might be standard on late model bikes, but my 05 had a different style bracket.

I just received my new BT7.1 Pros. Dang, those suckers are heavy. Can anyone tell me if my 2009 SG has the redesigned horizontal speaker brackets jpjohn mentioned?

Otherwise, are there any tricks to strenthen the spkr brackets? Thanks

Update: just talked w/ BT about the speaker brackets. BT said that unless my bike is prone to breaking brackets, as some seem to be, I should not worry about this. BT did modeling and testing a few years ago and otherwise have not heard that customers are having issues with bracket failure after installing 6.5s or 7.1s. The newish 7.1 Pros are no heavier. I've been running heavy Focals for a while and have not broken the brackets, so I'll worry about something else.
