SS pn4.520 amp
Bt7.1 front, mm651 rear
Last few times I've rode, I noticed the left front speaker had greatly reduced volume (actually thought it wasn't working until I stopped and put my ear next to it). The rears and right front were at normal volume. After about 20 minutes of riding, the left front started and remained working normally until the next ride.
Today, same thing but about a minute later both fronts went out. Then the left front started working but the right front was at low volume, then both went out again. I shut speakers and head unit off and rode for a while. After @20 minutes of riding, I turned everything back on and all was working perfectly for the remainder of the ride, even after stops with hour + shutdown.
Any idea WTF is going on? I figured if it was a loose wire, loose connection, or pinched/rubbed wire, the problem wouldn't just go away or at least it would re-occur when hitting bumps. It doesn't. Is it possible the amp is going bad, or needs a warm up period?
WDE, I'd pull the fairing cap off and make sure everything is nice and snug. Those speaker wires where they attach to the amp's terminal block have always given me issues so I got to the point where I tin/solder the tips of all the wires being connected there. This goes for speaker wires and power wires. Gives the screw something more to bite onto rather than a soft piece of wire.
