I'm so excited, I ordered the HU along with install kits, here is what I have on the way.
Kenwood KDCX797
Metra Axxess ASWC-1
Metra 99-9600
Biketronics BT7P1
I'm out of $$ for this project so I have to wait to add an amp. Other than the amp, ;-) what else do I need for the install? Cables, wire, pointers, whatever? thx

Sit this on the back burner to keep you motivated:
Nice looking install kit for sure. And it's already got me motivated. Found the same kit for about half that online. So you recommend going with the 8 AWG kit over a 10 AWG? How about amp will the PBR300X2 be sufficient or will I be leaving anything on the table with it? I'm only doing the 2 speakers. I do want FM reception.

Nutz always recommends 8 gauge. The PBR300X2 will drive those speakers well. But if you want max gratification at speed with two speakers go Biketronics 2180. Happyness is expensive!
I agree. there are plenty of more powerful amps out there but for the $ and simplicity of install, can't beat it.
I was afraid you guys were going to say that. ;-) I'm really interested in hearing about that new Cerwin B2. I do like that the RF 300x2 has been so well documented, thanks UltraNutz. I'll keep researching for a couple of weeks and save my pennies. The new HU and speakers will hopefully keep me happy for a while.
