About a month ago I got back from North Carolina and my aux in my hk head unit was cutting out. I replaced the aux wire with another one and it still cut out. I know its the jack on the head unit.
A buddy sold me a sony dsxs100 a while ago... So I ordered the biktronics retro kit... And I already had hog tunes 902.2 speakers on the 2007 street glide (only running a pair of 5.25 speakers no speaker lids, lowers, or trunk speakers...)
I have all this ready to install... Idk if the head unit will work with it being 4 ohm and my 2 ohm speakers?
I also have the pbr300x2 amp. Will this help any or what? I could still order the adapters and the polks if I have to.
Im kinda stuck and not sure what I should do. What would be best and wont hurt any of the equipment and push it too hard.
I am also going to stugris in a few weeks so I gotta get it done! hahaha..
You can swap the radio, install the amp, and use the Hog Tunes speakers, but I'd order a set of Infinity 6.5's and a set of adapter rings, to really take advantage of a good radio and 'great little amp' !! Won't take long to swap out the speakers when they come in !!

Thanks! So the hog tunes being two ohm and the head unit being four ohm isn't gonna hurt me much?
Even with the infinity's being 4 ohm?
If you use your PBR300X2 the 2 or 4 ohm thing won't matter. The X2 is 2 and 4 ohm compatible. The speakers you want are the infinity 62.11i speakers to run with your amp. They are 2 Ohm.
speaker rings: these work great and are cheaper (I used 2 times - no issues at all; most speaker rings you need to set all the screws anyway and then tighten)
EasternPerformance is the seller and we all know they are great...
BTW - I got the Polks and so far no issues.... THEY SOUND GREAT... but then again as mentioned on the forum compared to other similar speakers too many issues with them. I would now go for the infinity's (or BT 7.1 - but different price level)
+1 on the speaker upgrade. just do it and your trip to Sturgis will be way nicer (wish I could go )
