Thanks fella's, yeah I am impressed with the quality of sound from this amp, it's cleaner and more musical. One thing I didn't care for is the terminal block no screws, spring loaded slots. Ridedaddy I would consider it a definite upgrade, is it (SS 4 520 $125 - 4180 $580) 4 times better no, but it is better... like I said before it is cleaner and the music is more dynamic ( don't have to play it as loud to hear what the musicians are doing). Would I buy it again knowing what I know now...YES I WOULD!! Thanks for all the kind words...ROC ON!!!

Good for you man! I'm sure that's an awsome system you have. Congrats! One last question.... I don't feel like my bt 6x9s are doing what they should with my 4.520d pushing them. Did the 4180 make them come alive with all that extra power?

Yeah ridedaddy, seemed to wake up all my speakers, rear pods and lids are louder especially when I put my feet on the cruise pegs and lean back a bit. I think it would wake up your lid speakers, loud and clear! I'm also getting better bass from my speakers even boosted the bass a little (normally ride with bass and treble flat).

Eshaw - Did you try the TN4.900 with the four Pioneers yet? Interested to know how that sounded? I'm running the TN4.900 with two Pioneers and it sounds awesome! Might want to exercise some caution on the gains and volume sending 225 watts to the Kappas. They will take 150 all day long. 225 watts is another story.
Man, those damn pioneers sound like a man is in my bags knocking and trying to get out with that tn4.900!! So, I decided to use a tn2.600 to push the pioneers. Its rated at 300 watts per channel @ 2 ohms so I ran the pioneers in parallel so that they can get 150 watts each. And yeah im super nervous when it comes to the kappas and that tn4.900. I wasnt able to get it turned on last nite because the radio I have got rained on and would not turn off. That was monday and last nite the battery was dead. So its on the tender now and I will see how everything goes when I get home tonite.
If those kappas sound as good as I think they will with 225 watts, im gonna go ahead and get everything I need to do the lower fairing speakers. I hear that the grills for the kappas wont fit there so I may have to figure something out. But all in all, I am happy with the results of the tn4.900 so far. Even tho I still would like to compare it to a BT4180, I dont think the tn4.900 disappoints.

I'm sure the tn4.900 is a great amp, but since I ride a sg and not an ultra I want to keep my amps in the fairing. I only use my touring pack when it's needed so I don't want to keep it on the bike just becouse there is an amp in it.
