Man, those damn pioneers sound like a man is in my bags knocking and trying to get out with that tn4.900!! So, I decided to use a tn2.600 to push the pioneers. Its rated at 300 watts per channel @ 2 ohms so I ran the pioneers in parallel so that they can get 150 watts each. And yeah im super nervous when it comes to the kappas and that tn4.900. I wasnt able to get it turned on last nite because the radio I have got rained on and would not turn off. That was monday and last nite the battery was dead. So its on the tender now and I will see how everything goes when I get home tonite.
If those kappas sound as good as I think they will with 225 watts, im gonna go ahead and get everything I need to do the lower fairing speakers. I hear that the grills for the kappas wont fit there so I may have to figure something out. But all in all, I am happy with the results of the tn4.900 so far. Even tho I still would like to compare it to a BT4180, I dont think the tn4.900 disappoints.
Eshaw - If your are going to do the lowers here is a good deal with excellent quality:

I have some real nice JL audio grills if you need a set. They fit in the pods perfectly.
I was looking at the fairing factory ones because eastern performance sells em. However, being as though my bike is black denim, its gonna be a pain in da a** trying to find someone to match them to the bike. Plus, with the deal I can get from the local Harley dealer, I can get the lower painted fairings from them for about $500. Then I guess I can go with these speaker pods. Thanks for the info. Also, since this will be my first time doing fairing lowers and speakers, will the kappas fit? I heard they will but not the grill. How much truth is there to that statement?

lol. . . Anything is possible my friend. There was a member of this forum who MADE the Infinity grills fit with some minor modifications and he has a pic around here somewhere. They are real nice looking grills but IMO they don't look good on the lowers. They stick out too far. I try to keep everything symmetrical so it doesn't interfere with the profile of the bike. I like the lines to stay clean if you know what I mean. To each his own. You on the other hand might think they look great! Bottom line It can be done.

Well, me personally, I am the same way as you. I believe in things being minimal with a little flash here and there. If the grills require some work then thats out of the question for me. I already have done enough work with this bike (its still tore apart from last nite) and dont plan on doing any more than what it necessary. If I can get another grill to fit, then that would be perfect too. I can care less what the grill says on the outside. its all about the performance.
