Congrats and welcome to the club.

You know, there's a secret hand shake for those with the BT4180. I can't tell it here on the forum..lol

On the road, I keep my volume at 25. No need to go louder than that and 25 is very loud.

You guys suck. Sent back my SS and my Kappa's. BT2180 (I known not the 4180) and 7.1's should be here Monday. My goal is to leave it at two speakers. Now I'm looking at a Kenwood & access kit. Told myself 2 7.1's is going to be enough, butttttttt if not I got enough room in the RG fairing, I'll buy another 2180 and some lids. Old bike (06 ultra with boom) wife could hear the rears, RG with stock she can't so I somewhat have spousal approval for this fiasco. Of course I didn't mention figures, just need more and was going to cost.

BTW as a side note, phat performance has the best pricing I could find on BT stuff. Free shipping and 5% of with the code year14.

I have the BT 6.5 lower's and lids. I really don't think they're needed. It's so much power that you don't really hear them.

If you buy BT products from another vendor and something goes wrong, you'll have to pay BT a premium for the warranty. I think it's something like $50.00

If you ever upgrade to another set of speakers, I might be interested in the 2180 you already have. Then you could get the 4180.

Got my BT kit yesterday from phat performance and going to install tomorrow, and I e-mailed BT and the said they still offer life time warranty and never mentioned a fee for repair.

I was told that awhile ago when I called them. I asked about the difference from buying directly from them vs. from another vendor.

Perhaps I misunderstood. But heck, with the price of all their stuff, what's another $50.00 lol

I only get half a hand shake since 2180.

Pioneer that is a deal. Now don't go home tonight and pray that I'm not happy with just the two and jinx me.

Is the 2180 just as good as the 4180 if you are only going to drive the 2 front and 2 rear speakers?
