Default Finally got the BT4180 installed

FREAKING AWESOME!!!

The sound quality is truly amazing. Previously I have 2 PBR 300x2's installed, one for my 6x9's and the other for my fairing and lowers. The PBR is a decent amp but I wasn't pleased with the sound quality for Biketronic speakers. With the gain set around 5, in order to fully hear my music while on the highway, I had to have my HU up to the highest level. And, there was a lot of distortion. I found myself always adjusting the EQ. Sitting in my garage, the sound quality is great but not so much on the highway.

The sound is completely different with the BT4180. The max volume on my headunit is 50. The BT4180 is very powerful and loud at 28. On the highway, I didn't need it past 35 and that was kicking hard.

The BT is not just loud but crystal clear. It fully compliments my music.

This has been said by just about everyone who bought one but if you're on the fence due to the cost, it's money well spent.

The PBR left a smile on my face. The BT4180 has a stupid, all teeth showing grin on my face.

Thanks to all who helped me make my decision. With the full Biketronic package, I am now officially finished with my upgrades...

I never had an issue with the PBR, but then again... I have not heard the BT4180 (yet)

Congrats on your successful upgrade... and more important, enjoy the music

You think the Pioneers 6x9's are going to hold up? BT was a little skeptical they'd stand up to the power of the 4180.

So far so good for me.

Glad your happy.

"HEY DUDE, THAT'S STUPID LOUD"
Some guys rolled up to me at a red light and just yelled that at me. Maybe I'm getting old because I don't know if that's a diss or a compliment. lol

I am shocked at the power and sound quality of this little amp. A little while ago, I text Sanman4ever and told him that I'm going to push the bike to 100 MPH to see if the amp hold up: IT DOES!!!

Here's my concern. There's so much power in the front of the bike (amp; 7.1's and 6.5's) that the Pioneer 6x9's are being drowned out. With the PBR amp, I heard the 6x9's more, now I can barely hear them. I have an Sony HU and there's an app which allows me to power each set of speakers. I'm going to try lowering the power to the front speakers and putting a little more power to the 6x9's to get better equilibrium.

troop, I promise you won't be disappointed. You asked me about losing FM. Although I don't use FM, I did turn it on and the power is there. FM doesn't sound as powerful as MP3 but I didn't loose it as some do with Soundstream amp's.

ITS STUPID LOUD. LOL
