RF Amp . . No Sir! Class D amps??? Some do some don't. Like Austin my soundstreams never caused me to lose radio stations. But I live in the city where there are too many radio stations to mention. I was going to suggest the Sound stream as well if you didn't care about FM. It's a beautiful amp! Can't beat it for the price. But the probability of losing your FM stations is 80/90 percent.

I've thought about those, they are my second choice. I try not to get caught in the rain, but the pass through tweeter is the only thing holding me back on them.

yeah that's still a hit or miss thing.

sometimes it affects FM in no way.
sometimes it affects FM slightly.
sometimes it completely wipes out FM reception.

PBR amplifiers can be used in either mode, high-level (speaker line) or low-level (RCA).

The high-level input mode detects DC offset voltage on the speaker line and will turn-on the amplifier. A variable "high-level adjust" potentiometer sets the "threshold of the turn-on circuit.

The low-level input mode uses traditional RCA inputs and it requires the REM turn-on wire to be connected to +12V for the amplifier to turn-on.

so I don't need to use the remote turn on wire if I'm using the high level inputs? Currently it is hooked up.

In related info to the install...everything is hooked up and working great... except the microbypass I purchased for the stereo so that I could use the video options. Not sure what's going on there.

That is correct. You do not need the REM wire connected when using high-level inputs. If your having problems with the amplifier turning-on/off properly, use the HL ADJUST **** to tweak the trigger.
