After spending money on two speaker setup would you do it again ?
I want to pull the trigger on bt setup but keep thinking I wont be happy and that ill have to sell amp loose money and add lowers or bag lids.
This is my first bagger last bike was cvo dyna and spent a lot of money chasseing ear buds.
I did the BT2180 and 7.1's and I would do it again. You will find the head unit quickly becomes the weakest link (which I am changing this weekend), but I would without a doubt do it again.

the biggest question to be answered is;
why do you think you won't be happy. that alone will tell you whether you move forward or stick with what you've got.
I have to tell you the truth. I loved the 7.1s. I just installed 7.1 pros unreal they are the best speakers I have tryed . The Hu is the key you have to tune it right and it will make or break you system. I am running Bt 7.1 pros and Bt 2 channel amp and a Kenwood hu . I just tuned it all in tonight and I am so happy I spent the money. But one thing to remember just because I love it does not mean you will. I think we all hear music different that why we have all different kinds of music in the world. I love country and blues. But what you listen to may differ . I have asked for so much help on my system its crazy. I ended up taking advice from everyone and took a piece from this guy and that guy and finally after alot of mistakes . I now have the perfect system for me . 3500 dollars later and alot of frustration I am proud to say I got it. Thank you all for your help. Hope it go's better for you good luck.
I've spent thousands going back and forth on different setups.
I wish that I would have just went with the BT package from the beginning.
I'm not gonna bad mouth any particular vendors or packages because what's junk to one man is treasure to another. I wanted clarity and volume at all speeds. The only system which met my needs is the BT package.
Also, in my opinion, putting any other amp on with the BT speakers is as useless as **** on a bull.

Well what are you going with sony or kenwood? I just got the Kenwood set up tonight . All I got to say good god almighty.
I started with hogtunes setup I will keep the tweeter pod because I had to drill 2 hole in the inside fairing.
my plan was too start with a 2 channel setup all BT stuff to avoided more lost money. BT 7.1 Sounds Very clear and thumps real nice for a fairing speaker.
I was trying to make the same choice as you so you. 2 channel or bigger I decided:
I will save little more money and bought the bt4180 I have installed the 4180 with only have bt7.1 and tweeter pod and this steup as a lot of high-end, you don't need a tweeter with bt7.1's sound loud at freeway speed and clear even with the Stock unit line level outs. So now I can listen and hear my music and save for BT479HT.
So get the bt4180 enjoy your 2 channel tunes and smile, because when the bug bites again you are ready.
