If money is tight.. this isn’t a big deal. Just go to a hardware store and buy large thumb screws. Double nut it at a depth that centers the Thumb screw in the pipe.. about 1.5 to 2” (from the end). Install the thumb screw, start at maybe a 45 degree angle.. then put red lock tight on the stud that sticks out of the pipe and tighten one more nut.

These are not double nutted on the inside.. I suggest that to make it easier for you, but with lock tight it’s not needed.

That's an understatement...to the point I don't want to put them back in should I have to remove them again. I was thinking to maybe cut them in half so that they don't go over the inner pipe in the muffler...that's where they really get stuck.

If you’re that close to the border look for a Parcel Service just over the line. That’s what we do in southern Mb. Ship to Mike’s Parcel Service just over the border and drive/ride down and pick it up. (Usually free shipping within conti US and Mikes charges $5 to hold onto to it till you pick it up.) Great operation small parcels large parcels doesn’t matter.

funny you mention that but about 5 years ago I signed up for a " USADRESS" but I have never used it. It's somewhat the same principle as you mention. the parcel gets shipped there and they charge like $5 for small parcels but i'm wondering when I would go across the border the customs would ask why I'm crossing. If I say to pick up an item ( I was thinking of buying a new Mustang seat ) then coming back to Canada I would have to declare it and pay the customs etc would I not???

All I’ve ever been asked to pay is the Canadian pst. You are personally bringing it across so there is no brokerage fees.
I’ve also often been waved right thru the border when it been only one or a couple items. I think some officers don’t want to bother doing the paperwork. I’ve been waved thru with $400 in ceiling tiles. But anyway all you’d pay is the tax .

Good to know. I've never used the address so I had no idea. Many times customs has dinged me big time when I order parts from the US. I think if I order a Mustang Seat I'll give e it a try. Save on shipping and customs at least.
