I am fighting my handlebar ticket next month and am hoping I got all pertinant information on the regulations to help win my little battle.
What I am wondering is what the rationale for this ridiculous rule actually is? Is there any supporting information available that anyone knows of to debunk this regulation?
Cheers
Nothing you can do. I payed my hundred dollar ticket and it pissed me off. If you want to fight the ticket you have to do it in the jurisdiction you get it during business hours. Mine was 3 hours away in Barrie and I wasn't gonna take a day off work to fight it.
Tried to find any and all excuse to get out of it but I happened to have an OPP that had a hard on for bikers. Have since talked to many cops and all have said they wouldn't even look at bars unless they were ridiculously high. The code says bars to seat cant be more than 485mm (I think that's right)
Good Luck Hope you win!!!!! By the way...that's Ontario rules...I see you are BC
