i have looked at a ton of threads and i cant get an answer so here goes. what is the process to determine by sitting on your bike, the correct width, rise and pullback for getting the bars. i know its probably not science but any help would be appreciated.
Go to a dealer, borrow a couple of bars that seem right to you, take 'em out in the parking lot & hold 'em up while you sit on the bike. Keep in mind that they're about an inch higher than they will be installed. When you find ones that are comfortable either buy 'em, or take the dimensions & look for an expensive set with similar dimensions on line. Even if you want points, square bars, or bars with curly ques you'll know the dimensions.
This is an interesting set of charts from Krome Werks: http://www.khromewerks.com/handle_bars_specs.htm
The last chart shows the numbers with the bars installed, which differ greatly from the base numbers.
"Wild 1 Chubby" even has two bars they say each are 10" rise that are at least 2" different in height.
