Need some help finding the right handlebars-Need straighter hand position!
I have a 2003 FLHTI with Factory handlebars. I need to find a set of handlebars that position my hands straighter like drag bars. My right wrist was fractured years ago and has four fused bones, so the inward and slightly down curve of the factory bars bothers me after a while.
I really want the the bars the same height with less curve at ends??
Any help appreciated.
Have you tried rolling your bars forward slightly? It might help the way it feels to you.
Also, some dealers have a handlebar display that different bars can easily be mounted to to simulate how they would feel on your bike, you might try that too.
I need the ends straighter instead of bent inward.
Thank you. I have gone to two small dealers and didn't feel anything different yet...I AM STILL HUNTING!!
The move forward idea worked a little but not enough. I appreciate the ideas of any sort!
I have Klock Werks Ergo back bars and they put my wrists/hands in a more neutral/natural position. My bike is still in storage so I cant get any pisc yet. They were not exactly cheap. But I think it is worth it.
I don't know if they would work on your ride, but the Fat RK bars on my bike did exactly what you are asking about. They do have about 2" more rise than stock, but the grip is straightened out a bit
