thunderslide help: good perf, poor mpg
So after the tune, it runs great, but my MPG is worse. I used to get in the low 40's, which I was not pleased with, now i'm at 37 at very best with easy riding conditions. He said it's really set up on the lean side, per my instructions, but my mpg stinks.
So my question is, does the Thunderslide itself cause poor mpg's? Why? Should I remove it and find a stock slide and other parts? ... OR, How do I make the DynoJet kit with Thunderslide work properly without killing my mpgs? I may have to do it myself because the Indy says 35mpg is "normal" when you dyno tune it for performance. I don't know if he'll "fix" it without wanting more money. $250.00 for the tune plus $90.00 for the kit, makes me a non-happy customer.
I'm a conservative rider and prefer to get long range from my gas tank. I want a smooth ride, not necessarily a fast one.

If you go back to a stock setup with jetting, you will lose performance, but probably gain improved fuel consumption.
