I saw this outside Rapid City HD last summer and would love to know the name and year of this bike. Of all the bikes I saw on that trip, this is the one I keep coming back to. Thanks folks…
no guarantee that they were "born together"
But the EVO engine FXR chassis was `84-94 then a gap with a very few made in 99
Trans end cap indicates `87 up but that too could have been changed
Evo engine is `84 - `99
`82 & `83 FXR frame had a Shovel engine

Hard to tell year as it is heavily modified to Owner's taste, but as said 84-94 FXR for sure. They never came with a wide glide front end, so that has been changed with a bunch of other stuff.
Frankenbike. Unless you talk to the owner all you can be sure of is that the bike did not come with that front end. My guess is the engine is a retrofit as well but who knows?
