Default FNG Fort Worth, TX....already looking for help.

Hello all...Just picked up a new to me HD (sorta) that I'm need some help identifying....

I've owned a number of bikes over the years: Triumphs, BMW's, Honda...this if my first HD.

here's what I know:

Titled as: 2002 ASM (I assume means assembled i.e. custom)
Motor: Bottom is is S&S Super Stock
Top end appears to be Evo
Frame: Is an Ultra Cyles frame. It's a softail, but not sure of what model.
Tins, Front fork, Wheels appear to be FatBoy.

Story I got from the owner, who appears legit, is that he had a HD dealer/buddy build the bike in 2002 over a 6 month period. The previous owner was very sketchy/unsure of a lot of the specific details/questions I asked. Since 2002, he's ridden the bike just over 2000 miles....which is what it has on the odometer. Original title signed over to me indicates 9 miles, so the dealer rolled the odometer back.

So here's the rub: I want to accessorize the bike a bit. Right now, I'm mostly interested in 2 things:

1. New Seat
2. Getting adapters to move the controls forward 2-3".

I'm thinking that a lot of the specs/measurements on this Ultra Cycle frame are consistent with HD. Like foot controls, tank mount points, seat mount points.

I was at a guys house today who had 4 softail seats he let me try...NONE fit. He mentioned he thinks maybe the frame specs are pre-99??

Beats me...I'm new to the HD frame. I'll attach some pics to get the ball rolling.

Regards,
Jason

Welcome aboard, and nice looking first Harley!

Yup, Fat Boy, and since the guy that built it from parts put it together in 2002, there's a pretty good chance the frame is indeed pre-99.

Drop by the Softail Forum and start a thread. Somebody will help you out, I'm sure!

The bike I bought has an Ultra Frame from the 2000'ish time frame. I'm certain some of the measurements of the frame were made to be compatible for HD aftermarket stuff. Ie, foot controls, seats, rear fender support hole spacing. I believe I've narrowed it down to 84-99ish softail stuff.

Thanks Jace.No man it doesn't...the sticker's been removed. I think I've narrowed it down to pre-99 softail frame dimensions.
