I pictured two prism tanks with the inner 1/3 or so chopped off creating a flat inner face so the tanks are now mirror image. I can make them as wide or as narrow as I want and two caps. Thats the visual I had when you first mentioned the twin tanks. Tanks gotta be the hardest part of a build.

I'll reserve judgement on the front end length until I have a tank and bars figured out and mocked up but my initial thought is I should've gone a foot longer on the forks. The reason being is to get the front of the frame up higher off the ground. It was a concern I had and now I see where its at. The frame color is killing the look, the rear tire needs to be swapped for a vintage tire then the fender will fit properly etc etc. Its a long way from the look I want but it'll get there.

The bike is 8'10" long, doesn't look it but it is.

From way down here, it already looks like the frame needs more rake with the current front end. Longer is going to have the frame way in the air like the current chopper kids with their knees in their chest high mid pegs.

For me, and this literally is just an opinion, I like the bottom of the frame to stay parallel with the ground. Longer front, more rake. Too much rake, more up stretch.

Looks great, you are totally in the "what looks good to me" realm, good luck with all of the hard aesthetic decisions.

very cool find, nice build up...love the old choppers. My father work for cycel shops back in the late 70's early 80's...i grew up with this stuff.

the front end is by far the best highlight...i think it needs slightly less rake, and thus raising the frame front at the same time. i do dig the look of the long laid out front ends, but if i were doing it, build it to ride !

45 degrees in the neck when the frame is level on a table plus 3 more in the front end, I dont want more rake. Not a fan of a level frame chopper so it being up a bit is giving me what I'm after and if I need more it just a longer front end away. Im getting used to the look, payed it a visit in the garage this morning. Bars and a tank will give it the taller look on top plus the angled up frame will add to that upswept look I want.

Second time now I have just gone and started at the beginning and watched your work and thought process during this build. Great work, I really like seeing the skills being put into a nice chopper build.

Thanks, I hope it turns out like Im envisioning. I looked at a lot of tanks on-line last night and countless choppers to at the very least find a starting point with a tank I can modify. The tank pictured earlier in the thread is about an inch too long and the tunnel is too narrow. Near the end of my search I found one I like but not for sale and it needs to be slightly larger anyway. I'll make one out of cardboard to get a pattern because I think I just have to make one.

Here's the tank. I like the bike too. I would like to know the deal on the cam cover.

I like how the bottom fold line angles forward rather than just continuing around the perimeter of the tank like a line drawn around it. I want a tank that straddles the frame like this one just because but also to hide some or all of the solid reinforcement plates to the neck. It needs some height too so although I really like this tank it needs to be slightly larger, I just hope I can pull it off without ruining the look.

What needs to be done differently is add a second petcock, there's no hose from side to side that I can see. That or have one on the left and add the connection hose tank to tank.
