Default Rear axle length???

&nbsp\\;How do you figure rear axle length? The rear plates on my frame measure 9 5/8 across. I'm guessing another 1/2 inch per side plus another 1/8 inch for license plate mount= 10 3/4. Is that going to work?
&nbsp\\;I know I have been asking a bunch of questions, but this is my first build and I want to get things right and can't think of a better bunch to ask. Thanks,
&nbsp\\;Wayne

Ok,
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
measure from the outside of the plate to the outside of the other plate, so you have an overall width measurement.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
1 inch on each side for axle adjusters
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
1/8 inch for license plate bracket
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
1 inch for the nut and washers
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
IF IT WERE ME....~ Add 3.5 inches to the overall width.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; If it's too long, then it can be cut down, right?&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; If it's too short, then you just wasted some money and will have to get another one.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
So, if 9 5/8 inches is fromt he OUTSIDE of both plates, go with&nbsp\\; 13 1/4&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;inches, IN MY OPINION.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
Don't worry about asking questions of ME....becasue I am just finishing my build, and you can never have enough information.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
