just thouht i would drop a note, i have a 2004 tejas. bike looks great, but have had many issues. gauges (yes, several) gas leaks, screws coming loose, etc. and once in the shop, good luck w/ getting it back this season. also have met othere with similar issues. But, it is an attention getter! great s & s motor...
Stick with it Bro! I had a bunch of bugs to work out with my 04 Tx Chopper when I first got it too! The speedo's dont like to get wet, so keep it out of the rain and if you wash it with water dont spray the water directly on the speedo! I also went over the whole bike and put loctite on every bolt i could get a wrench on. Sounds to me like your going to the wrong dealership to get work done. If its simple stuff like a speedo it shouldnt take them too long to fix it! Where are you located? If there is another certified ironhorse shop other than the dealership near you, go to them! Any dealership can do the warantee work for you!
Now, are you shutting the fuel petcock off when you put the bike to bed at the end of the day? That is a must! If that doesnt stop the leaking gas then you probablly have to adjust the float in the carb. That is no big deal, if you need any advise or tips, let me know! Ive been down that road a few times with several bikes!
