Agree or disagree

I have always liked the style of the crown. That said I will neither agree or disagree. Harleys have been going down hill in the quality dept for about the last 7 years. When they went to a cast crank and did away with the timkin crank bearings I think they made a huge mistake. Cutting corners to save a buck or two does not make me wish for a new scoot.

I think pretty much all the "factory chopper" companies are hurting if they are still in business at all. I don't know a whole lot about Saxon but a "factory chopper" is what it is. You won't really fit with the true Harley crowd, you won't really fit with the true custom chopper crowd. Most factory chopper owners I have heard about have trouble getting warranty work done, unlike Harley.
That being said I just bought a 2003 AIH Texas Chopper with 4K miles for 12K out the door. I looked at used Harleys that were about 12K but then to really make it what I wanted I would wind up putting another 6-8K into it. I am pretty happy with the Texas Chopper but it is what it is, I don't ride it during the week (I drive a county issued cage to and from work). I live in Central Florida and I don't ever anticipate riding farther than Tampa, Jacksonville or Daytona. As a wise old Paratrooper once told me, "find something you like to ride and tell everyone else to F*ck off! Because there will always be someone who doesn't like what you ride".

The guy that told you that probably bought one and payed $30,000 for it, what else would he say. So when you need work you just run down to your local Saxon dealer? I never heard of them. I payed $14,000 for my brand new bike in 03, and it's been reliable and looks great and the dealer is 4 mi. from here.Besides that motor is a Harley Davidson motor no matter what they say. It could be S&S or whatever but all the engineering was originally done by HD then copyed by the aftermarket suppliers. And it's an older generation EVO copy at that.
