@ cruzomatic. I noticed in one of your pictures your frame seems to be cracked. I just recently purchased a Spitfire C and after further inspection noticed the frame is cracked at the lower frame rail near the swing arm mount. Luckily the dealer I purchased from has givin me a few options. Just wondering if you have had yours repaired or if you have even noticed? Mine is craced in the exact same location both sides right below passenger foot peg.
WOW!!! Yes, I have noticed the cracks on the frame in the same location on both sides as a matter of fact, today, I picked it up from the welders as he was repairing it and adding additional bracing for reinforcement. Seems like TM's quality control when building our frames wasn't very good. I hope all TM owner's get this and check their frames for the same flaws before someone gets killed. I'll post pics soon and maybe even begin another thread with this as the subject in hopes other owners will see it and check their frames.
What year is your's?

My bike is also out for repair. The fabricator doing the repair is going to remove the swing arm mount, rear down tube and cut out the cracked section completely. He is going to take a solid piece of tube same O.D. as original frame. He is going to take the piece of solid and mill down the first few inches about three and insert it inside the original frame all the way to the crimp under the primary. Button weld it top and bottom and weld completely around where original frame and new section meet then remount the swing arm and lower down tube. This might be a little over kill but I would like this to be the end of the issue also.
Owners manual I got mine in about a week. I had to email them twice before I got a response. The cost was 20.65 shipped. This is the guy I delt withs e-mail. Good luck with your TM colins@tmharley.com His name is Collin Sullivan.
It's a 09. You shouldn't have any problems getting the manual. Heck if you have to call them. Now you have the name of someone who can get you the manual.
Interested in the repair pics when you get around to it.
Great, sounds like we have the same exact bike. Can you do me a favor please interference to your manual, can you tell me if it states the oil drain plug is the one that I'm assuming it is in this thread?
There is not a picture to reference in the manual but it states that the drain plug is on the left side of the oil tank. So I would say the one in the pic you posted is the correct one. It also states to bring the bike to normal operating tempature and remove the oil filler plug/dipstick before draining oil.
One other thing I don't remember if it was you asking or someone else in another thread but you do check the oil at normal operating temp. while on the jiffy stand not upright.
Anything else I can help you with till you receive your manual feel free to ask.
