Im not sure if I ran through something or if they are bugs that are burnt to the pipes... but I have 10-20 of these little black spots all over the pipes. They wont come off with the speed shine. They do come off if you rub them a bit, but Im afraid to scratch the crap out of the pipes.
Anything recommended to safely clean this stuff off?
I would use real fine steel wool. I have burnt my jeans on my pipes a few times and I have just used fine steel wool and it takes it right off without scratching the pipes. I have used fine steel wool on glass and it doesnt scratch.
Use steel wool fine or otherwise as a last resort.
If you can remove them with your QD and a little elbow grease then try this....spray some all purpose cleaner on the areas and let is soak a minute or two then wipe or rinse away.
Tar or bugs, Turtle wax chrome cleaner and use your fingernail if you have to. Don't use steal wool on chrome!!!!!!!!!!
That's what I use too turtle wax chrome polish is great stuff. WD40 won't hurt the chrome, oven cleaner is OK but you better notget any on the paint, powder coat or polished aluminum, I wouldrather not use it myself.
