maybe another way to do it....condensation forms when there is a temperature difference between the surface of the bike and the ambient air....like a coke can, a cool bike will attract moisture from the air if the difference becomes too great

a fan could regulate the temperature of the bike and keep it the same temp as the ambient air while the current keeps excessive moisture from building up.....but would a fan make it really dusty under that cover over time? never tried it

a light bulb just slightly warms the entire area under the cover and creates a very weak but effective convection current of airflow as the heated air off of the bulb expands and rises to the to the of the cover

Interesting this bike has no dust on it this spring, where the other bikes where I gave a wipe down with bug slide do.

Congrats on your 13th post in this thread, and you did it by quoting yourself

When no one listens or answers, reverting to quoting and talking to ones self is sometimes the only answer.

Spring time, and just looking at the bikes as getting ready to ride. The one I hosed down in pledge is not dusty. How it would like in the sunlight I am not sure. The other bikes do have layer of dust.

I think we need 45 more posts to solve this complex problem.

How much did you spend on the bike? Skip the bedsheet, go buy any of a million decent breathable covers out there. Go ski til spring.

This is first time I used it on paint. People on forums been using it on windshields for 20 years or more. I just had a really dusty bike, that got moved to the forefront, so hosed it down. I am not saying it won't effect the shine in the sun. But this bike looks fine.

Thats a debate. I do not use one out of fear a mouse will get in there. I don't have a problem, but always worry. I'll just wash it in spring, which doesn't seem that big of deal. There have been times I take seats off. I got to many bikes, and lazy now.

My pole barns I take seat of atvs, open hoods, try to expose as much as I can.

So no, I do not use covers, I figure why bother. But many do,
