Thats a debate. I do not use one out of fear a mouse will get in there. I don't have a problem, but always worry. I'll just wash it in spring, which doesn't seem that big of deal. There have been times I take seats off. I got to many bikes, and lazy now.
My pole barns I take seat of atvs, open hoods, try to expose as much as I can.
So no, I do not use covers, I figure why bother. But many do,
