Are those pads foam or microfiber? I get usually way more cut with microfiber than foam. A Flex 3401 is going to have a lot more grunt than the G8/G9 but if you've never used one, they can be a bit of a bear to control until you get the hang of it.
CB, I did a black caddy this weekend, write up coming soon, and the clear was like concrete. Flex with a MF and UltraCut did a good job, but the owner wanted the best I could get it. Wool pad with Menzerna FG400 did the trick. This took out everything I felt comfortable going after. It was aggresive and I had to follow up with a middle of the road step because what I like to finish with wasnt finishing out what I was looking for.
Wool pad cuts hard and fast, and messy from lint and dust. This worked on this paint with the machine I was using.
What is the issue you are having? Is it worth going after?
