Tape Residue on Glove Boxes

Default Tape Residue on Glove Boxes
I bought a 2000 Road Glide last week and the previous owner put tape over the glove boxes to keep them closed because the springs broke. After removing the tape, there is residue left on the glove box and inner fairing plastic. I'm wondering what is the best way to get this off. I would use Goo Gone, but I don't want to damage the plastics. Any recommendations?

Whatever you use test it in an inconspicuous spot. I’d use WD40…

Sometimes rubbing alcohol will work.

WD-40 has been my choice for getting rid of tape residue.
