powerwash
does anyone else powerwash there bike, i powerwash mine after getting stuck in the rain or its exceptionally buggy, what are some of the dis-advantages of doing this. I try to stay away from the front and rear hubs so i dont blow water into the sealed bearings, are there any other places to avoid?

On your paint? Remember dirt and other debris are normally abrasive ( just look at all the swirls people have on cars that get washed reguarly)..so do you want to float dirt away or force it away?
Lets place some glass in your hand and remove it with water.....do you want a flow of watergoing across your hand or a strong blast from a hose nozzle?
Kinda drastic but hopefully you get my point.

I powerwash when it's seen hard times. Rode from Califonia to Alaska and without the powerwasher, since there was a half-inch of crud builtup, I'd have missed my next ride for all of the time I'd have spent washing it by hand! I clean my scoot and make it look good but I don't plan on eating my next meal off of it or putting it in a show.
