I have been using the same processes for my Vette. I'm not happy with the results.

The "Vivid Black" is notorious for having a soft clear coat.
The good news is it will polish easy.
The bad news is the swirls will come back quickly.
Here is a thread on Vivid Black issues.

Try
Polishing the paint to get out the swirls.
Use at least three coats of Glare Pro Polish.
Follow the Glare Pro polish directions...
Rub in the first coat like compound.
Rub it into the paint until it disappears.

Then at least two coats applied like wax.
Use very little. About a dime size for each tin.
Use more when doing the first "compound" coat.
The "trick" to Glare polish is paint prep with the first coat.
Glare will fill scratches, build up the surface protection & make paint harder.

Then if you wish you could top it off with Zaino Z-2 for a little extra shine.
On Vivid Black I personally would just use Glare & not top it with anything.
