Microfiber is better than sliced bread in the detailing world. I can remember when I was using whatever rag I could find in my parents basement to "detail" my cars and now nothing touches the paint except for microfiber.

Ive tried just about every kind of rag there is . And it seems like a good ole fashion towell works good.

Micro cloths are great in the volume of water they soak up.

I bought some new rags at the National Hog rally in Chattanoga Tn, And I really love these rags. They are avery fine woven cloth?(not like the "fluffy" micro rags). I wish I had bought more that day. (just dont try to wipe a red hot exhaust pipe. felt like it was going to melt.

any way I highly recomend these rags.. go to www.mgbstreakfree.com for info and ordering.

Don't dry the MF cloths? Really, just let them air dry? I've washed mine once, and dried them, but never thought about it. Any idea why you're not supposed to dry them?

Thanks, great info.

So what do you use these cloths for?

Dusting? Dry or Wet?

Waxing? With S100 detail & wax?

Any tips appreciated.

Or do you just take a clean dry MF and wipe clean?

Fun, Thats' what the research I did todl me, alos don't use fabric softener. No idea why not to dry them, maybe shrink? When I got into detailing this Spring, I researched a bunch on waxes, MF, etc. I posted what I found to be the most sound advice. We washed, fabric softener, and dried them on accident, no probelms that I could find. Actually just used those today!
Toad, use themf or whatever!
They work great for simple dusting/detailing! In a hurry (lots of dust in my garage) I just put Harley spray (name?) on and wipe off with MF.
When washing the bike, I use a regular sponge on everything except paint.
As satted before, I use a leaf blower for the heavy wetness, then a MF for final.
I think waxing is where MF is the best! Use them to apply and wipe off all waxes.
When I use a cleaner in washing my bike, I use 6 MF clothes just for waxing (cleaner wax, polish, then wax) One for applying, and another to take off.
Wax on, wax off my friends:&gt (Sorry, I just had to!)
Maybe I should add a note here, I have tried 4 brand sof MF, from Wal Mart 3 for $4, to Auto Supply places, to be honest, can't hardly tell a difference in quality.

Oh my gosh, I forgot to post a funny story here...
A month ago, I was staining a picnic table. My soon to be wife began helping part way through. Well I had bought soem el cheapo rags for staining, told her where they were.
She was staining for maybe half an hour, and kept saying, "mine isn't looking good." all the while I was giving staining tips (hmm, how many are there, wipe on, wipe off!) I go to look, couldn;t figure it out. I take my rag and use in on her boards, looked great. I couldn't figure it out until I looked closely at the rags!...she had grabbed a micro fiber cloth instead of the cheap rag! The MF was absorbing more stain than it was wiping on the board (which looked like crap!).
So, DO NOT use MF to stain your picnic table!

I get my MF rags at Pep Boys. 3 for $6.00
The label on the rags say to machine wash, cool, tumble dry--low heat, and NO fabric softener.

Well I reckon it depends on what rags ya got then. I'll have to read mine.

I use mine w/ BOM Spray Cleaner which cleans and polishes/waxes. Its really great stuff and since you use no water, you don't have to worry about water spots.
