It happens everytime I use the POS. I've just about decided to start using bike brite. I tried a bottle last year and it doesn't leave spots at all. Hard to find at dealerships though (only found two that carry it and they are in S.C.).
That crap has been that way for years. I won some at a poker run back in the 90s, used it once and threw it away after I thought I had ruined my paint.
Yes I rinse the bike down first to then s100 then i use mcquires car was Rims I use spray 9 looks good You have to be carefull with s100 very corrosive it even stings your hands when you have open cuts
S100 makes a bunch of products - I would use all of them except the Total Cycle Cleaner. It is corrosive and is difficult to rinse off a MC because of all the nooks and crannies. The warranty guy at the dealer asked me if I was using it after the same low side muffler tip's chrome pealed twice.
Good old fashion car wash soap that you can buy from Sam's by the gallon will get your bike clean and contains only a mild soap and I water softening agent to help prevent spots.

Anything that leaves white corrosion will not be used by me.This will strip everything off including wax and make your polished aluminum dull or even white and spotty. Then your in for a huge headache getting it all re-polished.Im dealing with this now because the guy i bought my bike from used an acid based cleaner on the rear bare aluminum wheel. It was so bad i had to sand the wheel with 400 grit wet sandpaper and after 2 polishes its starting to come back to a good shine..Read the products before using them NO ACID ON BARE METAL!!Just mix up some good car wash soap in a spray bottle,Wet the bike, soak it down good and scrub. Not when its hot or in the sun either.Be sure its cool and in the shade or a garage when you soap it up.If you need to degrease something just mix up a strong mix of dawn dish washing liquid in a spray bottle and use a brush..Dawn will also remove wax and polish but won't corrode things like acid..
