My experience w/ S100 has not been good either. If you don't use a high pressure washer to rinse, the sh*t stays on and causes all types of problems. Now all I use is Poly's.
I was using the total cycle cleaner on my RK till it yellowed my dash. Really pizzed me off, had it replaced under warranty but still, really???....never again!!!
Has anyone ever tried a product called Dobatex Gold which i have been told is made by Shell. My new Dyna Fat Bob has road dirt on the front off the motor which i want to try to remove.
Been using Turtle Wax Ice for quite a while, it leaves a nice shine and the water beads up real good. Also make the windshield a little easier to clean the next time you need to wash.
I don't like S100... for just the reasons you mention. No matter how much and how long I rinse...... I never seem to get it all off.
I have a bottle I'll probably never finish using...... waste of cash for me.
I've never used the product but this is what I've been reading for years. I know some swear by it but I've read enough stories for me to stay away from it.
I use diluted Simple Green (cold motor) and every now and then some Engine Brightner (cold motor and I wipe down any excess) never had a problem.

ditto. been using it for years without issue.
also for you guys with powdercoated parts, wheels, etc. you must pay attention to what you're using on those parts. Lots of detergents are too harsh for use on powdercoating.
I have used it in the past, but after seeing what it did to a friends bike it will not be on mine ever again. Turtle Ice Wash does a better and safer job and leaves it nice and shiny.
