I have over bumps, but I don't think I've ever felt them bottoming during a curve. I suppose if you're down to your last 1/2" of travel you might have an issue, but...
I don't think I have ever bottomed out my shocks....
I'm not saying that's the reason for the wobble, although possible. You just asked how the shocks could cause it. I just purchased my first dyna so still sorting it out.
My all time favorite review quote stated. The VMax engine writes checks the suspension cannot cash.
Got it! Stops side to side movement but does not make the engine rigid as it can still move front to back. All this because we do things with our bikes the MOCO never intended. Bring back Eric Buell.

Oh, if it was only that simple. An Engineer that likes to go fast and turn fast.
Ideally, the bike would've come s mount set up like the TruTrack from the get go, but, it costs money, and increases production time. All at a benefit to a relatively small customer base.
Face it, those of us with no chicken strips, are in the smaller majority.
I need to get rid of my spoked wheels before I get a TruTrack.
Yup! He invented the system used on the original rubber-mount baggers, his own Buell brand bikes and all rubber-mount Sportsters. The Dyna system is a strange set-up, which as already commented on allows a small amount of sideways motion. The True-Track kit adds lateral stabilizers which stop that. Take a look at any Buell or recent Sportster and you will see that they come with those stabilizers as stock.
I fitted a T-T kit to my Dyna and have one on my Glide. In both cases there was no increase in vibration, however the improved stability was immediately noticeable. The bike steers more accurately, holds its line better, for example on poor road surfaces, as well as cornering better. That was on an FXDXT and is a very worthwhile improvement IMHO.
