So my tuner is finally on it's way, went with the Dobeck EJK tuner. As soon as I get that, the V&H BR's are going on. Now I'm in the market for a high flow air intake. Been looking at the SS Stealth, it has the look I want...black and bobberish. Anyone run one of these? I'm trying to stay away from anything Kury or Ness.
DK Customs has a few cool air cleaners, a couple are "bobberish". The price is right and they do not pump hot oily air back through the engine like most air cleaners do.
I run the S&S Stealth on my '13 Bob and I like it. I reinstalled the round HD factory cover over it so you don't know it's there. You don't have to reinstall the cover if you like the "naked" look.

Yeah, going for the "naked" look. There's an independent shop here that stocks them, gonna go by and...I say look, but I'll prob end up buying it, lol

That's what I was concerned about with the oily air getting sucked back into the engine

They have several styles. Easy install, look good, and no oily residue in your intake!
Ok, just picked up the S&S. Question, I know its supposed to be "stealth" but can you run this without a cover on it? Don't really want to put my stock cover over it, and the shop didnt have any covers for it that I liked.
You can run it without a cover. The downside is it gets dirtier quicker and it will suck in water when it rains. You just have to pick form or function. I have the stealth as well and I like it a lot. A big selling point for me was that the bolts are threaded through the backing plate so that if they ever loosen up they can't get sucked into the motor and no rubber breathing tubes
I have used the Ness Big Sucker with internal breathers in chrome, looks good, easy install good workmanship. Also the DK Custom external breather high flow, also good.
Well, got the S&S put on today. Didn't want to put the factory cover back on, ended up modding an intake cover off who knows what, to fit it. It'll work for the time being. Didn't really notice much of a HP gain, but as far as sound...made my scoot sound a bit deeper and rumbly? Anyways, waiting on a braket from V&H, then the BRs are going on and my stage 1 will finally be done.
