I have been reading about compensator failures. I see an Harley upgrade with a oil slinger to glue on. My question is can I just buy the oil slinger and install it without a new compensator. Has anyone done this?. My bike is a 2012 fatbob.

I do not think that part is sold separately, although you might find it on Ebay, etc. The tray comes with the new 2014 SE Compensator and is only a part of the solution to fix the lack of oiling to the compensator. Another option is to buy the new outer primary cover that has the tray built in - maybe mattVA will chime in... I know he went that direction.
I have the number for the slinger by itself. 62700064. The dealer can order it. I just wondering if it would help. I'm not having any problems with the compensator now and want to keep it that way.
Just a headsup, the 2014 kit doesn't come with rotor, it is sold separately. If you are running older stock compensator, you need a new rotor as well 30041-08a
