Good question and answer but the question I have would be why do the SE bikes come with syn3 in all 3 holes from the factory? To the best of my knowlege the SE 110's are not run in before they are sold. Corvettes and some others come from the factory with Mobil 1. Inquiring minds want to know

There is a sticker on all the SE bikes that say they have SYN3 installed. So why can't you just put that in a new bike. NO is not an answer. On my racecars years ago I always ran dino oil for cam breakin and then swtiched to Mobil1 and never had an issue with ring seal. But that was with a flat tappet cam not rollors. I am thinking there is more smoke here than fire. I just changed the pistons and cyl in my bike and have around 100 miles on it with dino oil and I'm just thinking of swtiching to Mobil1 after another 100-200 miles. If the rings aren't seated by now they are never going to be is my thought

just got back from the dealer and right off the Syn3 bottle "Approved by Harley Davidson for use in all stages of engine life, not detrimentalto break in stage of engines" I guess that solves all the non truths and no they are not broken in at the factory, they are run on an air/electric machine that spins the motor at rpm to make sure it doesn't break apart.
I took my Xbones in for the first service the other day and they asked me if I wanted to switch to synthetic now or at my next service. He said only the Screaming Eagles come with synthetic from the factory. The standard models have regular oil and are switched at the end of the break-in period. He didn't explain why that was however.
