Default Newbie need tips

Hello everyone. I live in Ontario, Canada. I'm trying to close a deal on a 2006 fxdl with 15000km. Anything I should be aware of? My only concern is that the owner moved to forward controls which make me sit close to the tank and my legs really stretch. I'm only 5'5". I have 3 metric bikes in the last 10 yrs. Still currently trying to sell my 03 Vstar 1100 which I'm hesitating since it's comfortable with the foot pads positioned just right. How hard to put back the Harley back to mid-controls? And did I get a good deal. This will be my very first Harley. He brought the price down from $9000cdn to $7300. Thanks for any of your experts' inputs.

Low miles (km), price seems really good. You can go back to mid controls, but it's expensive if you go through Harley. You can usually find a good deal on evillbay, just make sure it comes with all the linkages, shifter and brake pedal (I've seen them listed complete for around $100 or less). You probably could find someone who will swap you even for your forward setup. You might want to research 06's. Not a deal breaker, but I've read some had an issue with an internal bearing, and the stator.
