Default New case has extra threaded hole ?

I had the updated ( 2007 ) inner primary and trans case replaced on my 2006 Street Bob , there seems to be an extra threaded hole now which located in front of where the lower clutch cable comes out , why does the 2007 case have it and not the 2006 ? And why is it there if not being used ? Thanks !

There are two covers, one for use with forward controls and one for use with mid pegs, the latter having an extra hole. Is it possible you have forwards and have had the mid controls cover fitted?

Are you talking about the primary or the transmission end cover? The clutch cable is on the opposite side of the primary. It goes into the transmission end cover. Only the Sportster has the clutch cable that goes into the primary (air cooled bike anyway)
