I have had some bad experiences with the dealer as well. Took my bike in for it's 15K a few months ago and rode for about a day. The oil light came on and I shut the bike down immediately and pulled it off the road. Go to check the oil and there was NONE in the damn thing. 0 leaks anywhere no signs of oil on or around the case or heads. Trailered it home and filled it. Ran till the next change with 0 issues. Last time I ever took it to that dealer.
Did you inform the dealer your bike had a Fuelpak before you dropped it off for service?
Why would that be needed information for a 1k service? Always try and blame problems on fuel pak. They want you to purchase s.e. Tuner and an expensive dyno tune no other reason. Fuel paks are on many bikes ( mine included ) and while not the greatest they get it done.
Service it yourself, problem solved. I would never let anyone touch my bike and there is a great example why right there. Hell, I even mount and balance my own tires. No way would I let anyone wrench my ride, especially not a dealership.
Put that Dealer on Blast..... we all need to know who it is so we are informed about where we should and should not go... i would not so much as buy a shirt there,,,,, use the WEB whoes the DEALER?
and being able to do all of the work yourself is great, i do most but not all....they hadn't seen mine since after i bought it....took it in for the 10,000 mile service cause i was taking a long trip....got it back and that thing was like butter.... frick it rode nice when i got it out of there....worth it to me...PARADISE HARLEY Tigard OREGON great dealer....never heard of anyone there trying any of that stupid used car salesman ****.... id tell to **** themselves to their face and to get it right before **** started getting tipped over.....but i'm nice like that...

Unfortunately it may actually be that Fuel Pak. Is it the new one that works off of your phone? I had one on my '13 Street Bob and it caused the exact same electrical issues. It was fine at first, then all of a sudden (Just like yours) it started throwing codes (V Inner most of the time) and ultimately causing the bike not to have any response when the starter was pushed. Ultimately I had to re-flash the stock map and it started to work properly again. I ditched the Fuel Pak and bought a PowerVision, no problems since.
Update: They thought it was the throttle side switch housing, and replaced it. Then they replaced the ecu, and bcm.. that didn't fix it either. Now Harley tech is having them replace the entire wiring harness... we will see what happens.. maybe my Hid headlight is causing it but I'm not sure.. they want to put the stick bulb back in to check.
I'm confused, you've had the bike for a year and it's just now going in for the 1000 mile service? Or was that the 10,000 mile service?
Yes, just now going in for its 1000 mile service. My 2011 was totaled when I got hit by a cager in 2011, so I've been taking it easy since getting back in the saddle.

That V error code indicates a problem with the data bus system. I sold my Dyna when they couldn't fix it...I hate Can bus bikes...
