Jeez! This sounds like a big cluster f#&ck. Sorry to hear about your issue. I hope they get it figured out soon or their going to have to "total" your bike out and give it a salvage title. Let us know what the outcome is...

Can they do that? With it being a warranty fix? They better just give me a new bike if that's the case...

That really blows,do you have the pre paid maint plan? If so I know you have to get the service done where you bought the bike,I have the pre paid but luckily have been treated well so far,hope they fix you up soon

These fellows that do the oil changes are not the certified mechanics that work at the place. Nothing more than a bunch of ham fisted monkeys. As has been already stated I do my own service work on all I can do.

I agree and do all my service work myself. But they told me my first service was free, so I figured why not let the dealer I bought it from do it, and I'll do all of them after that... never fuc*ing mind if they can't even do a 1k service lol. Never again

I don't care where you go HD service departments are all the same. A 1K Service is nothing more than a $400 oil change and eyes light up at the service desk every time one comes through the door. Yea they blow all kinds of smoke up your butt about checking a hundred things but the truth is they change the oil and blow it out the door. What really bothers me is according to the owners manual the first service must be done by an HD dealer. If they want to make it mandatory the cost should be included in the purchase price.
