I will be looking at this bike Saturday and the S/O will be test riding it. It is at my local BMW dealer, I guess taken in trade. The dealer is very reputable, we purchased one of her previous motorcycles (R1200C) there several years ago and I used them for all my K1200LT service. The motorcycle is a 2004 Dyna Super Glide, ithas 16k on the odometer.
Other than looking forroutine stuff like damage and excess wear and tear are there any issues specificto the '04s (Dyna's)that I should be looking for? Thanks in advance, I value the opinions of the experts on the forum.
Nothing beyond the usual that you can check before buying. If you do buy it, you should have a look at the cam chain tensioners before much longer. There are numerous posts on the subject on these forums.
Thanks gentlemen, I will give it a good going over tomorrow. My only concern at the moment is clutch pull. My lady had a bad accident several years ago and the earlier HD's have horrendous (read heavy) pull on the clutch lever. There are several remedies, one being the hydraulic kit. She is good to go on the '06's and 07's, no problem with those.
