Default Reduced reach forwards...

Ok, I've ran forwards before on a couple metrics I used to have and liked them. That being said, when I got my SB I was a little hesitant about the mid controls.....turns out they are a lot more comfortable than the metrics with the same setup. I did install the highway peg kit, and while pretty comfortable, it seems a little to stretched out for me....kinda feel like I lose some control, so actual forward controls aren't gonna work. Been looking into the reduced reach that kicks the mids out 2 more inches I believe. I've got a 32in inseam and was thinking of maybe getting em....don't know if it's worth the $300 HD wants for the "kit". Anybody running these?

I bought my FXDC with forwards and with my 30" inseam they were a little too far and uncomfortable to say the least. I installed the reduced reach kit with some stirrups and it's perfect. 1'' up+1'' back really makes a difference.
Hope that helps
Mike

the reduced reach kit that Harley sell is for forward controls, im 5 6" so they helped a lot,, also look up the super reduced solo seat part number 54384-11 [or reduced reach seat from your dealer

I ran these on my street Bob for 2 years. They were great. Made the forwards much better. I switched back to mids though. The forwards are in a box in the basement now. I'll prolly never switch back.

I'm talking about the "further forward" mids Harley has out now. I want a little extra legroom, but can't really justify $300 on 2 brackets and a shift and brake lever, lol. Maybe I need to go sit on one that has them installed.

I run the further forward mids, they move you up 2" from stock. I like them very much plus I bough a C&C seat that moved me back roughly 1 more inch. I feel pretty good with my 30" inseam. Sometimes I think of getting the reduced reach forwards which would move me up another 9" or so but doubtful.

Rusty, which highway pegs are you running? I'm thinking of getting the DK adjustable frame mount ones. If you feel like you're too far with yours you may want to give them a look, tons of adjustment apparently

I imagine I'll end up adding the further forward mids to my list of winter mods, haha.

The highway pegs are just the HD ones that bolt to the frame. Not really any adjustment on them...but not bad for $25 of eBay
