Got my hew pipes in last week.. V&H big shot staggereds. I had the SEII slip ons and they are nice, but these new V&H's are AWESOME! heres a pic on our ride on Talimena Drive here in Southeast OK, and another pic of us from a passenger on another bike in motion. I love these pipes so MUCH! 2005 FXDI by the way...
If anyone here wants nice loud pipes that look and perform well, i HIGHLY reccommend the V&H pipes!
Got a wideglide and a deluxe with V&H on both...Love the look and sound....Looks like a nice day for a ride....Bike looks great...Enjoy and be safe......
Hey 2_up_FXDI
Is that a stock seat on your FXDI? How does your Lady like the ride? I have an 05 FXDC that came with the lower profile seat and it doesn't provide much cushion for the passenger I was considering getting the one like on yours and wanted to know if the ride was any better?
Thanks
I had the remap done when I bought the bike before i ever took it home cause i had the SEII slipons added and a SE Aircleaner too. So these pipes didnt require anotehr one. I didnt think that they were pricy at all I paid $450 for them shipped, and intstalled. from (gasp) my local Yamaha shop. The owner is a good friend of mine and his guys are ex-harley techs. They left the local HD shop cause it blows. Yes the seat is stock, I added the detachable backrest when i got it, the wife loves it, but her big butt hits the top, so we are gonna get the 14" high sissybar soon..lol yes my bike is FI.. i notice a lil popping at decel, but no worse then the SEII's. These pipes are a tad bit louder as the rider, but when I twist the wick in town, i set off car alarms! I LOVE IT! but on the highway 1 or 2 up, they are not too bad at all. its a beautiful thing i think.. the sound of an AMERICAN BIG V-TWIN! I never dynod my bike before or after the new pipes, so i dont know if theres a REAL increase in HP/TQ, but it feels to me like the accel is considerably faster... As far as fuel consumption, its about the same, in town if i hotrod a lil, i get about 40, on the highway @ cruising speed, 1 up (60 mph) i get about 53 mpg, 2 up @ 60 mph i got about 48. These fuel milages are in the hills, it aint flat here in southeast OK..lol
All in all, i would have given more for these pipes.. they are beautiful, and they sound great to me! Thanks for the comments on the pics too everyone!
