FXRS-CONV Considered A Dyna??

I just purchased my son a 1991 fxrs-conv. I read that in 91' the dyna was introduced. My question is...... is the fxrs-conv considered a dyna or just an fxr model?

the 91 fxdb sturgis model was the only dyna in 1991

2 easy ways to tell:

fxRs would be an FXR frame
fxDs would be a Dyna frame

Also, the area under the seat is quite different. The FXR is triangle shaped like the image below, where the Dyna is square.

An FXR is not a Dyna, it's an FXR Arguably the best Harley ever built. Welcome to the cult. I could have bought a brand new Dyna for much less that what I'll have invested into my FXR. But in the end it will be a superior handling machine, extremely dependable cross country cruiser, and have a higher power to weight ratio than most streetable Dyna's. And when we hit the twisties, I highly doubt that there's a Dyna that could possibly keep up.

Without a doubt the most fun HD I've ever owned ... and I've owned many.

I would take an fxr over a dyna all day long. Best riding/handling bike I've ever owned. If I could only have one bike I would sell my wide glide and keep the fxr.
