Sounds like you're talking about the inner primary bearing. Baker makes a sealed bearing that eliminates the pressed on race but they don't make one for the '08-up mainshaft, yet.
S&s makes a tapered race that prevents walking for newer style bikes that may just be the ticket
Baker was going to develop the one piece IPB for the 08-newer mainshafts but then realized the real issue was with the primary chain auto tensioner. Mark said with that thing making the chain so tight it would eventually destroy even the strongest bearing. But yea I wish they would get on it and make a one piece for us
No, no, my fault, I know you said it somewhere but with this thread getting so big and me being sick as a dog (getting better I think) I poked around for it but gave up.
Got my thunderheader back today! I sent it out to have it black ceramic coated. For $110 I'd say it looks great! I had them do the flanges also, most people probably won't notice that but it always bugged me.
